This makes more sense when you consider that Demoff and Snead want to keep their power. They can bring in a kid HC and he'll be happy to defer to them. Heck, he's the same age as Pastoors. They can roller blade together in Santa Monica.

McVay's seems to have been on their A_List from the get go.

Him and Patricia are considered risks for various reasons but I'm not going to judge the Rams if they were to hire one of them until it's proven they're not capable of being an NFL HC.

These are not just coaching hire interviews.

Demoff made it clear that they are also using this opportunity to pick guys's brains about their take on Rams personnel and that probably includes assessments of Goff. McVay would be a good brain to pick when it came to that...which may or may not indicate he's a leading candidate.

Rams have up to a dozen candidates, it is probably too soon to say one is a favorite.

Seems- give the impression or sensation of being something or having a particular quality. (the definition)

By the way... There isn't a dozen coaching candidates that are on the A_List so imo it's not too early to speculate what the short list.
