Hopefully neither he nor any other QB is going to really be a consideration for the Rams in a couple years because Goff has figured it out by then.
You're right, he still has more to prove but all we've got is all we've got. Darnold was the difference for USC this year and took them from lousy to ranked and bowl eligible. That's a lot for a Freshman QB. Not to mention the numbers and bowl victory.
I guess it's easy to be skeptical because he's played for such a short time but that can work the other way too. Look at all he's done while not being the starter in training camp or a quarter of the way into the season. Will he be that much better with those things or will the rest of the NCAA figure him out? Rosen was supposed to be the stud in LA and he's all but forgotten at this point and wasn't looking too great before he got injured.
If you had to guess, would you say Darnold is the real deal?
