I can't believe that Williams and Payton will ever work together again. Weirder things have happened, but, truthfully, Williams isn't really a must-have. He does a good job, but it's not necessarily a job that others can't get done as well. Williams' defenses in New Orleans were ranked 25th, 4th, and 24th in yards per game. His defenses with the Rams have been OK to pretty good, but have broken down at some pretty unfortunate times. In all fairness, too much of the teams' fortunes have been laid in his lap. If Payton were to bring Gus Bradley along with him, I think things could work out, but I'm not necessarily all in on Payton. At this point, it's a crap shoot.
