Maybe the term is a bit too vague.

What I'm looking for in our new HC are these kinda things:

Demands no less than the very best that his players have in them.
Won't accept losing.
Has vigorous practices with few pauses (like the Cowboys had vs Rams last summer. It was embarrassing).
Has every single padded practice allowed and encourages contact therein (no more country club atmosphere).
Holds every possible minicamp practice allowed, NEVER skipping a single opportunity to coach and improve his players.
Demands results from each and every asst coach. Zero tolerance for incompetence game after game.
Won't tolerate stupid penalties. Not just lip service about them, either. Sprints at first, but benching if they continue.
Hires the best possible asst coaches, not just friendly syncophants.
Understands both the O and the D, in addition to ST emphasis.
Always accepts full responsibility, never offers even a hint of an excuse.
Let's a competent GM make the final call on picks, trades, and FA.
A man that couldn't care less about being a "friend" or players coach, rather focused on wins, wins, wins, and then more wins. And demands that his asst coaches and players have the same mindset or they're gone.

The above are kinda what I meant by using the term disciplinarian. An anti Fisher kinda guy.
