Should the Rams hire a GM first?

Seems like that's the way to approach this, IMO.

Scott Pioli had his failures in KC, but he has been part of 2 successful franchises and his experience says a lot.

Get him in and let him put the pieces together. It may even help us get Shanahan.

But I understand the hesitation with hiring another coordinator without HC experience. I don't like Payton (knows offense but his defenses lately aren't impressive). Andy Reid isn't available.

I'm just tired of seeing the HC run the GM.
