Kurt Warner was not a rookie by any stretch of the imagination in 1999. That guy was an experienced pro QB. Goff is not.
Kurt's only NFL experience before 1999 amounted to ONE game ... ELEVEN passes ... FOUR receptions ... THIRTY-NINE yards .. and a QB RATING of 47.2
though (I was at the stadium) watching the pre-season game where Trent Green got hurt, and watched Bruce pound the turf with his fist ... Kurt Warner looked amazing to me ... his field vision was awesome. That very evening I went home and for my fantasy team, I picked up Warner as my starting QB.
Nevertheless, I'm not ready to hate on Goff ... for a QB without valid coaching, and without a valid OL, and without a valid OC ... I am impressed with Goff (besides his not accounting for every defensive player on the field) I think he will get better.
But I will ... always and forever ... HATE on the TRADE .... Six freaking draft picks? What QB ever in the history of the NFL was/is worth six draft picks?
but but but. Warner had a ton of nfl europe experience that you shouldnt discunt. Warner had a ton more
experience. Goff is no Warner. But he hasnt had Kurts experience in nfl systems prior to starting
