I feel for the kid but if he played in New England he'd have been taken off KOR immediately after that fumble vs ATL and then just benched/deactivated after the drop vs SEA. More accountability and consequences have to be brought into the Rams culture.
The only thing different is if he doesn't make those mistakes maybe the Rams lose those games 35-17 and 24-10 but that's not the point.
For some reason the word "accountibility" has become this negative mantra which roughly translates as "scorched earth."
For all you know--and no one DOES know---Fassell handled this very well and Thomas grows as a result.
The idea btw that the Rams are lax with players never struck me as real. I think of guys who got cut, I think of guys suspended for games, I think of things like Jenkins running laps in the stadium down in SF after being suspended for a game.
