Is there some math here that I'm missing?

So Spanos has to pay a re-location fee upwards of 550 million to move the Chargers.
From what I have read..He can borrow a few hundred million from the NFL to help build a stadium.

Why not keep the 550 million he has to pay to re-locate, add that to the 300 or so million he can borrow from his buddies to build a stadium and that leaves him needing about 1/3 of the cost to build his castle.

Take on a partner or two and stay in SD.

This makes no sense unless of course Spanos just wants to use "other peoples money".

Which is what it boils down to.
