NFL Insiders spent the first 4-5 mins discussing the Rams. Here are a few snippets from the crew:
Shefty said "It will be a thorough and exhaustive list & they will review all & any candidates possible."
Ed Werder opined that Goff is they key to accepting the position or not.
Polian replied: "In the short span of time that he's played he's shown arresting talent." Added "He surely is an asset going forward."
Shefty compared Snead's plight to ATL's Dimitroff when they had to hire a HC before determining whether he would stay.
"A lot of the candidate the Rams are going to want to interview & hire won't be free until their seasons are done."
He said of both Harbaugh & Gruden: "I don't see that happening."
ME: No matter who visits or interviews between now & the end of the season, I wouldn't read too much into it or light this board up proclaiming them as the next HC. This is going to be a long, drawn out process with a lot of twists & turns B4 we finally settle on our next HC.
