It is the coaching on the offensive side of the ball that probably is/was his downfall.
None of the offensive coordinators he hired were all that impressive to me. And here you have a prized draft choice, someone who you invested all those draft picks to select, and you don't surround him with the best coaching available. I mean, out of all the OC's you could hire, you pick Boras? Really?
And I'm not convinced Boudreau is capable of coaching up offensive lineman either.
If this offense had just been average, this team would be a playoff contender. But he just couldn't get that side of the ball straightened out.
