IMO he's a really good GM. There are very few of those laying around and I'd rather stay with a guy who was good at that because if you select a new guy and he's not good it will set the team back 6 plus years. 3 years while he is making a mess and 3 more to clean it up.
This will get picked apart but IMO 2 or 3 people on the team are more important than the HC.
The QB, the Owner, the GM/guy selecting the talent.
There are some HC exceptions on the excellent side and terrible side. But to me about 80% of them are all the same "thing". They become "good HC's" when they have the right owner/QB though.
So to me losing the guy (Snead) that has been picking talent, or at least putting choices in front of Fisher is a worse outcome than both he and Fisher leaving. Because only one of the other two things, QB and owner, IMO is going to be worthwhile.
