Give me your ideas of why? Just curious to hear both your perspectives.
I know one thing, a College Coach will probably bring his entire staff with him, or at least most of it.
Also, OHIO, I noticed there was no Urban Meyer on your list. Do you think he's a Patriot HC when Belichick hangs it up?
Jim Harbaugh is more then just a college coach. He dominated the NFC West and made it to the Super Bowl with the 49ers.
Harbaugh has won every place he has coached.
Urban Meyer is a great college coach. Not just a college coach. When he was at Utah and Florida and now Ohio State his teams have been dominating monster teams. The man knows how to coach.
Nick Saban is driven to win. That is all he's about and in many ways he reminds me of George Allen who was also a coach that was driven to win.
Saban is all about football.
David Shaw took over from Jim Harbaugh at Stanford and kept the ball rolling. His Stanford teams are physical and dominating and they have good offenses too. Shaw at 44 is the right age as well for young head coach. He's disciplined and focused.
There are so many retreads in the NFL coaching ranks who have been given more then a couple of chances that it is sad.
