good comments...and yes, we will see how it plays out.
IMO - We have 2/3s of a very good team...with some bad play on offense. I think a tweak may be more in order than
a fire-sale. Fisher hired 2, 1st time OCs since Schotty and I think it didn't work out too well. Sometimes, 1st time guys DO WELL...
sometimes no. I just think we need a bit more creativity for our offense and I could see Fisher getting a vet OC to settle it down.
Maybe Turner? I think NTurner would be a real solid hire for OC...and would give our offense a real solid identity and a good teacher for Goff. I like our staff on STs and defense...I think they are good. It's just the offense that has had real problems maximizing itself and I think it's a bit more bout the coaching than in the past....
cuz I think we have some good young players(Goff, TG, TA, etc) to work with.
If Fisher is fired...I just am not sure who replaces Fisher. If Fisher goes...most of the staff, if not all will go most likely.
So, I'm also wondering what new DC & ST staffs will use our players as good as they've been before.
New staffs mean new schemes....and new players for those schemes....
and, sometimes,
years before it all comes together for players and staff.
It takes time to get familiarity for staff & players. imo
I'll follow the Horns no matter what they do...keep Fisher or fire him.
I just remember the 5 yrs before Fisher came here and we were WORSE...so, we
can get worse!
And, yes, I hate losing also....very much....so please...anyone reading this
Please refrain from saying that
I'm trained by our losing culture...
cuz for the past 40 yrs
we've lost more than we have won...
and we're all still here hoping and posting!
We all want to win and building teams is hard and sometimes, it comes in 1yr other times it takes longer.
I wouldn't have thot it would take 5yrs for Fisher but after losing 3 years thru QB injury and Foles poor play...I could see it.
I understand if they fire Fisher or stay the course and adjust the offense...cuz we have a great STs and defense. imo
