Here is an option I think is VERY possible

Kroenke and Demoff......probably with Fisher's knowledge/blessing.......are looking for someone quietly and discreetly. But if they don't feel like pulling the trigger they don't have to because they can say "it's coming together, be patient, we have rebuilt and the new era is about to begin".

Demoff is a spin master, and a skilled and crafty liar. There won't be much in the way of clues then out of the blue something will happen.
