9er8er
Name his accomplishments.
What has he contributed to this team and organization that has made it better, as opposed to the debacle it's been throughout his tenure?
Okay, 9er8er, I'll play.
Kevin Demoff is Rams Executive Vice President of Football Operations and Chief Operating Officer.
As such, hires football execs. Fisher looked like a good hire at the time, certainly better than Spags for a flailing franchise. Turned out that Fisher was just a 1st stage rocket good enough to elevate the team to 7 wins year after year. But incapable of taking us to the playoffs, much less the promised land. Again, seemed like the best available at the time, just didn't work out. I do fault Demoff for not recognizing his mistake and replacing Fisher last offseason. Then again, maybe he wanted to but Kroenke wouldn't allow it. We'll probably never know.
He hired Snead and I think it was a good hire, TBH.
He does a masterful job in contract negotiations and cap management. Nary a hint of cap hell on his watch. Structures contracts in such a way that it gives the team great flexibility when it comes to personnel moves. Priceless. Rarely seems to have a contract negotiation go sideways on a player the Rams really want.
He negotiated the move to LA.
He has done yeoman's PR work in both St Louis and LA.
The logistics of the move were virtually flawless.
Here's what he doesn't do:
Block
Tackle
Coach up players
Develop game plans
Call plays
Make gametime decisions
Decide on starters
Decide which players make the final 53
See where I'm going with this?
I think he's damned good at HIS job and if I were Kroenke I would definitely keep him.
