I fought that belief for years. Today? For me the issue is decided... NCAA is more entertaining. Games are more exciting, even blowout games. Fan enthusiasm is greater. Announcers are better.... the NCAA wins every 'category' that comes to my mind.

BUT.. this is not a "Down on the NFL" post... I still love the NFL. I don't know how they did it... but what I've heard many other's say I think has merit - that is - the NFL, and the Media, has somehow not taken the 'fun' out of the game but they have managed to 'lessen fun' considerably. I don't know how they could do that to the greatest game ever invented.. but it seems to me that they have.

Each weekend in my household it's Saturday that fills my home with the most excitement. Yesterday was HUGE. The Ohio/Michigan game was one of the best games I've seen in YEARS.. an NFL game to compare doesn't come to mind.

To repeat... I'm not, or even close to, 'the NFL sucks"... I love it now, always will.... but frankly... being a fan of the "Game", (as well as the Rams)... it's Saturday's that I look forward to when I think Football... Sunday's I think "Rams". - JamesJM
