I guess i just dont like to call a coach 'awful' when they have worked as hard as Fisher/Boras. I mean they have worked their butts off and they have tried to lift the Rams to greatness...so i just dont "go there."

My old friend, I certainly agree that we need a divorce.

But I am mystified about why anyone would feel that Fisher has been working his butt off.

I've never seen any evidence of that. Indeed, I think 4.5 years of mismanagement suggests a pretty lazy coaching staff. My impression is that Fisher coasts along through the job without demanding much accountability, from players, his staff, or himself.

And, you know, it would be even worse if they DID work hard. If Fisher has been working his butt off and STILL permitted the sort of erratic, often ill prepared performance this team has put in over 4.5 years, well, then, he probably IS an awful coach.

Well my old friend, i just cant join anyone in the "Fisher is Awful" perspective. I see a guy who has done his best to bring the Rams back to playoff level. He's given everything he has to the Rams. Just didnt come together for a myriad of reasons. (I dont know all the reasons. I just dont know).

Maybe this has more to do with 'posters' than with coaches. Ya know. Maybe I'm just 'constructing' my own view of Fisher, as are you, as is everyone else. But 'my' construction does not include the "Fisher is awful" meme. I'm just ready for a change. I'd like to see a new system.
Ya know. Fisher tried, he did some good things, somethin was missing.

Now of course none of this matters. All that matters is what Kronky
thinks.

SI: Favorite movie?

Fisher: Field of Dreams. I'm fascinated with baseball history,
and I love the relationship between father and son.

SI: Best sports event you've seen?

Fisher: My son Brandon's Christ Presbyterian Academy championship
football game last year. They started the season 0-3 but made it
all the way to the title game, blew a late lead, then won in
overtime. He was a sophomore defensive back and made a bunch of
tackles. What a game. My heart was in my throat, and it was
different for me: I couldn't blitz, couldn't make any calls,
couldn't do anything. But I loved every minute of it.
