been lurking for years, just have never been excited, see real promise now, minus coaching staff
Welcome socalmab and nice to see another long time lurker join the Herd.
There were some good and obvious bad moments in the game for our new franchise quarterback. I think most of the negative narratives are based on expectations, first impressions and most of all, the draft capital used in trading up to get him.
Throw in the Wentz option and speculation by some that JG was never anything special based on their perception of him at Cal running the Bear Raid spread offense in the PAC12 etc..
People expect quick results from any number 1 overall first round pick no matter what position they played in college. I actually expected to see more from him myself but I wasn't at all worried about his performance as being any indicator for what he will bring to the football field in 2017.
In these next 6 games, I'm expecting some more good and bad moments and likely a few of those lost rookie, OMG he's a bust type of plays.
I will even confess imo, Keenum likely would have played a better game vs the Phins and maybe even secured a win.
This is sad to think about because 5-5 right now would be a good feeling. Regardless, CK's ceiling has been maxed out for awhile now and this franchise will never take the next step unless JG proves his supporters correct and hopefully a regime change at the end of the season with the HC.
Anyway, welcome aboard the Herd socal
