Further to what max had to say, my own feeling is that our D has overachieved in most of our games so far this season. Some of that credit needs to go to Gregg Williams (both in his preparation and teaching AND also his game planning and called defenses during the games) to be sure.
The Rams are not a good road team, as was evidenced in Detroit, London, and SF......and I get the feeling the D is going to have another Detroit misadventure in N'awlins. I hope I am wrong, but next Sunday is a NOON START in the Central Time Zone.....we came out flat so many times in Saint Louis with those NOON STARTS!!!
Anybody else remember those???
I see us coming out flat both on Offense and Defense and I see Drew Brees (NFL Passing Yds Leader YTD) having the Saints up 17-0 before the First Quarter is over. I hope I am wrong, but you cannot expect a NFL Defense to play lights out every single Sunday IMHO.
The Rams D is due for a stinker game.....and those historically slow starts in NOON STARTS for Los Ramos when they were domiciled in St. Louis, not to mention the potent Saints Offense (1st in NFL with a 422 yds/game AVERAGE)
.........like I say, I hope I am wrong, but I fear a real drubbing, a la the opener in SF, cometh our way this Sunday in the Big Easy!
As always, JMO.
