LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles Rams cornerback Troy Hill was arrested Saturday morning on suspicion of DUI, authorities said.
Hill, 25, was arrested after a collision on the WB 101 Freeway near the Haskell Ave. exit, just west of the 405 Freeway interchange.
Hill’s Mercedes rear-ended a big rig, police said.
A California Highway Patrol officer arrived shortly before 8 a.m. He observed that Hill was possibly intoxicated and conducted a field sobriety test.
The officer determined Hill was under the influence, the CHP said.
Hill told officers he was on his way to practice.
He was arrested and booked at the LAPD’s Van Nuys station.
Hill was released at 1:35 p.m. on $15,000 bail and ordered to appear in a Van Nuys courtroom on Dec. 14, according to inmate records.
The Rams could not immediately be reached for comment.
The team hosts the Miami Dolphins on Sunday at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
The truck driver was not injured.
