Carson Palmer lost in 2003, followed by names such as Luck, Newton, Bradford, Jamarcus, etc.
I don't care. I find myself looking forward to Sunday for the first time in a long time.
With Keenum @ QB, I had an empty feeling even after games we won or were competitive in. It may seem like a double standard, but with Goff under center it will be much easier to see a silver lining after close losses and I will be much more ecstatic after wins. I think it's because I knew deep down that Keenum just isn't the QB to lead this team to the promised land, no matter how well the D & ST's played. His performance this year has only served to cement that feeling. Keenum is a known quantity: A stellar back-up QB. Even when we scratched our way to a 3-1 record out of the gates, I tempered my enthusiasm knowing that Keenum had 12 more games to go.
Beginning Sun, after every completion and TD I will actually be able to ponder.................What if this guy is the real deal? And what does it mean going forward?
It's been so long since I've had this feeling, that I'm having trouble identifying it, but I think it's called...........................................HOPE!
