If we can figure out an exact pass count we could project a SB QB. Who knew? What was Fisher and company thinking. Sounds tantamount to throwing games.
There is certainly something to it but it says very little positive regarding he QB or the Coaches.
It's just an observation that happens to include numbers. Sometimes stats don't really say anything. They can be fun and whimsical when they're like that.
I think in this case, basically, the stat says something we already know--that Keenum was supposed to be a qb you could win with if you had a running game and a defense. And sometimes, just a defense. He was not supposed to be The Guy who helps you with with a heavy passing attack.
There's a lot positive to say about Keenum. Mostly because it's not a pure either/or thing. But then if you think anyone was saying he was this passing phenom who could put the team on his back by himself, you're wrong--no one thinks that. And acting like someone said or thought that, and arguing with that imagined person, is not very edifying.
We knew he was not that before they began. And ironically, some games, all they had was the passing attack. It was not supposed to be that way.
So we're back to the same non-discussion.
POSTER A: Keenum has his strengths as a player, and you can win with him if you play defense and can run the ball.
POSTER B: Wrong. You can't win with Keenum as a pure passing qb who puts the team on his shoulders.
POSTER A: We know. You're not arguing with anyone real.
