Not advocating for Keenum or anything. Just was curious to see what his numbers would be had Austin not coughed up that pass vs NYG that Collins intercepted and Kendricks caught the TD Sunday.

Had just those two passes been completed his season QB rating is 80.7 vs. 77.2. And I only gave Austin 10 yards on that play when in fact I think he may have had a lot of running room... Anyway......

I see what you're doing, but I am going to veer off into my own schtick. I submit that season averages are deceptive in this case. They visibly improved on offense after the 1st 2 games, and the numbers back that. In fact the offense numbers from the 1st 2 games drag down the season average. If it is true that they improved after games 1-2, then, using those dragged-down season averages does not give a clear or realistic picture.

That's true of all offensive numbers.

QB Rating
games 1-2: 59.7
games 3-8: 83

But then...
games 7-8: 63.0

So right now the trend is turning down again.
