Here's my take.

We're hemoraging losses as it is, so why not make the inevitable change?

Goff is our future.

Why not give him reps now to allow him to grow more rapidly? Even if it won't help our w/l record until next year.

At this point, I don't see how it can hurt our playoff chances (gallows humor). Lol.

Fans shouldn't expect him to be a Dak Prescott phenom, just a promising rookie QB that's gonna make some mistakes while he learns the ropes.

I really don't see a lot of downside to starting the kid at this point.
