It could be that he sits until he can play "better" than Keenum. And we don't know how they will define better because there are some moving parts involved.
Or it could be that he has to know a certain percentage of the playbook and terminology like the back of his hand.
Or it could be that they want to ease him in (which is my contention) to some live action here and there in games Keenum starts and Goff finishes for a few weeks before handing him the keys.
Or it could be that they are waiting to see how/if Keenum can bounce back from last week.
There's a lot of things it could be.
Things I don't think it is.
Fisher doesn't know how to handle QB's. I think that particular argument is lazy and intellectually dishonest. It smacks of reality show type journalism.
The trade is a bust because Goff hasn't played yet. We've all seen the tape and Goff can throw a football really, really well.
Fisher won't play him because of the OL. The OL isn't going to change anyway, until Brown is back and he gets put out there. It's gonna be the same guys.
