Am I recalling wrong? I thought leading up to the draft Wentz was called much more pro ready because he played in a pro style offense, under center, audibled more, etc.

Some claimed that Goff was more pro ready because of the level of opposition (v. Wentz) and because Cal's version of the Air Raid had him doing more things than typical spread qbs of that type usually do.

So some did say Goff.

But the idea in this thread is that it was this big consensus that Goff was more pro ready, and that doesn't add up. Some made that argument. It was far from universal. As you said many tagged Wentz with that label (more pro ready).
