What JT is saying and what Cole said are entirely different things.

JT cited the idea that the Rams have doubts about Goff's leadership skills.

Cole said that (unsurprisingly) Goff was behind when it came to pre-snap reads at the LOS and checking out of plays and audibling.

That's not the same thing.

It just shares the general, broad, vague idea that Goff isn't ready yet or may have issues.

IMO that kind of speculation by both Cole and JT (speculation disguised as inside reporting) is just going to keep happening until Goff starts. Not because it's valid, but because that's the gossipy nature of the beast (the beast being, in this instance, the combo of fans and sports media).

And it is also possible that both JT and Cole are right in their (completely) different "revelations," but that it's just nowhere near as dire and darkly looming as they like to believe.
