I think its possible that Fisher saves his job if Goff comes in a plays really well and energizes the fan base in LA. And that's even if the Rams don't make the playoffs.

Fisher is pretty savvy. He knows Goff is his trump card. He's gonna play it when he thinks its the best to his advantage.
