Fisher is 100% responsible for the product and performance on the field. I think we can point to 3 issues that produce what we see from a Fisher team:
1. He picks players who are dumb as a rock though he calls them very smart.
2. He fosters a total lack of discipline environment and it shows up in critical situations time and again.
3. His offense is archaic, unimaginative, and stagnant, and he picks assistants who have no business coaching in the NFL to run it.
What we see on the field is those 3 forces combining and yielding the same results over and over. There is no mystery to why he is 4-6 after 10 games every year. It's not just a coincidence. And to try to break it down to different causes from year to year ignores the 3 overriding issues that are a constant force in a Fisher run team.
Fisher is a great politician and manipulator. He is very skilled at getting people to believe his BS, especially since he has many friends in the league and media. But there is no denying that the 3 issues that I described exist. They were there from the beginning. Some of us saw them sooner than others. It took me 3 years to get it, some saw it much sooner. Some are just getting it now.
I don't know what Kroenke is thinking, how much his decision will be based on his affinity for Fisher and the move, but he did say we are all judged by our performance. I just hope he doesn't excuse Fisher's performance based on distractions from the move and not consider the inherent issues that cause it.
