Far too much dough invested and far too many draft choices given up to ruin him by playing behind a horrible O line. Both Wentz and Prescott would be ruined behind this line. The wise thing to do is let him sit and learn while not dressed and have Mannion ready to go in if CK gets hurt or fails miserably. When the season is over make some drastic changes on the O line Its called protecting your investment. I might consider doing the same thing with Gurley before he is ruined trying to find some space behind these guys.
I also think Fisher and Snead are on board with this as is the owner. That's why the continued defense of CK. It's fine with me given how bad that line actually is. Putting your future out there and having him getting killed every other down will do nothing but make him so gun shy he will lose his ability to utilize all the talent he came here with. I saw it happen to Warner and I saw it earlier with Everett. Yes-they both came back years later but by then they were with other teams.
IMO the Rams are doing the right thing not playing Goff. To me the rational -if I'm correct-is a slam dunk.
I also think all the @#$%& and moaning about the qb would be better spent on addressing the O line. How did they get so bad and who -if anyone-is responsible for it? If we had a decent O line Gurley just might be running well and CK would have time and we would have a winning record.
