I've always said it this way, QB's need to make their living on their side of the LOS.

But every couple of years a college player that is an incredible athlete gets everyone stirred up about the potential of seeing that play transfer to the NFL.

With just a couple of exceptions over the decades that we have heard that running QB's will change the NFL I think it's safe to say "no, they won't".

That won't stop media and fans from going nuts over the next Johnny Football or Griffin or whomever.

It's much like the cannon arm thing. It just keeps getting perpetuated somehow.

You'd think NFL GM's would have learned, but those are the two temptations that many seem to succumb to.
