They gave up huge 3rd and long situations in both games and against the Lions when they didn't outright allow the 1st down they gave it up on penalty

The injuries are really hurting them - they flat out can't lose Tru and Quinn - mix in Brockers and they are hurting

I looked up the defensive stats. Rams are 26th in 3rd down conversions. NE, Dallas, Washington are worse, yet they have winning records.
There's something else at work here that's hindering the defense.

Seems the Rams are about the middle of the pack in all stats. 3-3. Guess that's middle of the pack.
