It was discussed on Sirius the other morning. If / when they announce a move it will be at least 3 years before the new stadium is built. The NFL has already said UNLV stadium does not pass muster for an NFL game. So I guess people in Oakland can watch their team for 3 years while they wait for them to leave - because they didn't have enough money to give some guy who was born rich but not rich enough - who wants to get a bunch of rich guys in Vegas to give him public money so he can finally be even richer.
Sad all the way around.
Sadly, if you ever go to Vegas you'll be donating to the Raiders stadium fund. Tourist tax is always the easiest way to by with using "public funds"
Btw, Chargers are trying to use that same trick to get their stadium.
