I would have to add Tru to that and maybe we could be a Top 5 defenses.... Amazing how bad they looked without them yesterday. It's too bad Quinn couldn't at least give it a go, just his presence might have rattled Stafford enough to miss that miracle 4th and goal throw.
Our secondary as is right now, scares the living crap out of me.... Hill getting lost and giving up that huge play
could have been a pick if Tru was in there... We need him back ASAP.
The Rams lost a game yesterday they could have easily won if they make that 4th and goal play...being up 35-21 in the fourth qtr we win that game. I'm not going to begrudge Fish for going for it, yes a bootleg would have been better call, but you're a foot away, no reason we shouldn't get that going right at them...and once again, Gurley missed an opening to his left as pointed out in a post by jrob.
It's frustrating that this team could be sitting at 5-1 right now, IF a couple plays were made...it's the NFL and wins and loses are separated by a razor thin line in most case. The teams that win make those plays.
I had no doubt we were going to go right down the field and win this game and at worst send it to OT with a FG by GZ..... So bummed such a great day from Case ended like that. He seemed locked in from the jump that he was going to throw that ball to Kendricks and never took his eyes off of him...no wonder there were three Lions waiting for the ball there.
I also have to admit that GZ has shocked me...I didn't want to jinx it, but since you brought it up, I have to admit I was wrong ..dude is money this year and I have all the confidence he is going to make every kick rather then look away when he goes to kick like last year.
