I know what you mean, but honestly, I don't think it matters.
There are so many examples of qbs developing without that kind of thing that really, what it actually boils down to, is what each of us would prefer to see.
There's something to be said for (1) getting reps while also (2) learning the ins and outs of being an NFL player and also learning the mental side of the game.
There's something to be said for separating those 2 things and doing each a step at a time.
We can come up with lots of examples throughout NFL history of BOTH approaches working.
That's one reason I don't have a deadline, myself. To me it's all entirely 6 of one half a dozen of the other.
