at least, that has been my belief for a while now. That the Rams aren't a top team right now isn't a surprise given the plan that was hatched in 2012. It's his team. He can do with it as he sees fit. My problem with it is that players under contract to his team are having valuable years of their careers wasted in deference to this vision. Because an NFL players' career is so short on average, it seems reasonable that an NFL owner might be more sensitive to the need to put them in a position to be successful as quickly as possible. It seems that many of the "core" players that the Rams have are being used to fill a gap between 2012 and 2019, likely the point at which the vision is expected to reach its fruition. All of these years in between are just part of a process and the success of the process will not be measured in playoff appearances. At least for now.

I see some of that the way you see it and some not.

I do think he is very longterm in his goals and not an interfering coach.

But I don't think that has anything to do with the team record since he bought it.

I think the Rams would ALREADY be a winning team if they didn't lose one qb to injuries, then the next to a meltdown/benching. Compounding that is the fact that they had a decently effective OL in 2013 then had to tear it down and start over.

That has nothing to do with Kroenke. It's just hard for a team to rebuild and THEN because of circumstances have to tear one unit down and start over again.

....

October 2013 if Bradford never suffers that injury in Carolina I think that Rams would have been a playoff team at least a couple of times already. Fans want to blame Fisher but this team has had the worst luck with regards to the QB position.
