Maybe I'm off base but I feel like this is so overblown... Maybe there's a "distraction" issue with the fact that for many of the team this could be their first time outside the U.S., there will be extra media attention next week, etc. And yeah they're staying in hotels for 8 straight nights.
But the travel issue? So what. Not sure if they are flying to Detroit today or tomorrow AM. Maybe today because of the 1PM ET/10AM PT start thing. Then Sunday night instead of a 4 hour flight home they have an 8 hour flight to London. What happens? They land about 6AM London time. Get to their hotel and clean up. Hang around for the day. Maybe take a nap in the afternoon. Have dinner early. Crash early that night. Then what? They feel just fine Tuesday morning... They are not flying to Sydney or Beijing. And they're not playing next Wednesday.
