Agree with that. But even Fisher has to realize that Keenum isn't the answer at QB.
Still think Fisher will stay with Keenum since its on the road.
Well no one ever thought Keenum was the answer. He's placeholding for Goff. That's probably tattooed on his forehead. Backwards so he can read it in mirrors when he brushes his teeth.
But in fact, Keenum did not have an overall bad performance. So far he has only one real bad game and that was SF. This loss goes to a lot of things, not just the pick 6.
The issue is not Keenum it's Goff. If he's not ready he's not ready; if he is he is. Most people just look at certain throws and think that's all it is. But Goff has to call audibles at the line and call protections at the line and drop back in rhythm while mentally comparing the D's pre-snap look to the post-snap look and factoring in sight adjustments by the WRs. He has never done that before.
And that's the part no one outside of the team sees. For all we know they go over the film on Mondays after games and keep saying look---CK called the right thing there.
It amounts to this and it's a formula I have used before....right now the veteran can do things the rookie can't do, and Goff can do things Keenum can't do.
Today was just bad luck on 2 plays. One Gurley fumbles, one Cooper runs the route wrong and Keenum doesn't spot it.
