Arians will make the next QB perform well after Palmer starts to fall. It may not happen in game 1, but it will happen after he has a training camp and gives the player all the reps.
Palmer should start falling though. He is getting older. And that may open a little window this year or next year, before the Rams have to pay all of these defensive players to retain them.
NFL is Not For Long.
The window is open for the Rams now. Wide open with the Cardinals just out of sync, Palmer banged up a little, and already 3 losses. I don' think the Cardinals offensive line is blocking well and the one WR is in a huge slump, dropping passes like he hasn't been doing previously. Lots going wrong with that team early in the season.
But the system is proven and has been tremendously successful so grab the opportunity now. It may not be there next season.
