My wife is just doing her oncology doctorate after 20 years a a cancer specialist nurse. It drives her mad that these is so much focus on just one type of cancer.
Almost every month is some cancer awareness month, some months even have two or more, but none of the others garner 1% of the publicity.
October is also Liver Cancer awareness, which is usually a far more aggressive and deadly cancer, but they get no recognition.
There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.
