Thanks Mr Blinkscout, I like and details you add!
Hanging in there on that front 4 short handed in that heat and humidity after a cross country flight which included a long mechanical delay is another excellent example.
Maybe, just maybe, this team has learned how to fight through adversity and win games at the end? After the Seahawks and Buc games, I'm starting to get that old feeling again.
And I like it. Lol.
If our D and ST can continue to carry the O until it grows up, we might just be onto something.
I agree with the above...there is something special about this team---as a group of players playing as one. They had a lot of bad things happen, but kept coming back.
"This" team is very similar to the successful Titan teams....I always say this because watch all those old Fisher Titan teams they all played the same way every year. The years they went to the playoffs were because the D or McNair or Derrick Mason were having big years. Eddie George kept plodding, and they kept knocking the crap out of opponents....they kept staying in the game and then finally a big play, and then they win....1999, 2002 and 2003 were exactly like this. One year when they made the playoffs Eddie George had 3.3 yards per carry. How do you win with that? But they did. They went 13-3 with Kerry Collins at QB.....and with Chris Johnson....well, Goff has an accurate arm like Collins and we got Gurley...so, we aren't far away.
If Cooper, Spruce and Higbee
(CSH)can, between them, make 5-6 catches a game we will be a much, much better team. Britt had a great first two games, but now teams will see they can paralyze our passing game by shutting him down....so we need
CSH.
