Yes I second that the possibility of a trade existed since the neighboring booths for both teams at the combine.
I think it came clear that 3>4 teams where going to throw their hat in to trade at 1 and it could have also caused the Rams to miss on Lynch at 15.
No one could've predicted Prescott being as capable as he turned out and I don't believe the Rams had him higher than a third round grade.
Tunsil, Miles Jack (dropping) and a few other picks that were reaches in round 1 made it a strange opening day. Maybe Goff or Wentz wouldn't be in the top 3 of most the recent. Drafts, but the Rams believed that Goff long term would be the best investment and worth giving the picks, and carried a lower risk than Wentz.
I do think that it wasn't nt a slam dunk for Goff.
Wentz clearly has a more aggressive personality.
Goff may be the more natural Talent however at the end of the day.
It was a bit overpriced type move but will still wind up appreciating over time.
Drafting Tajae Sharpe and Goff woulda been pretty great though.
