Unless you believed Georgia was going to live forever, the reason the Rams are back in LA is because the lease Georgia signed and ownership agreement Georgia signed to get them to St. Louis all but guaranteed their eventual departure from St. Louis at or around the time it eventually happened. That it turned out to be back to LA was mostly the result of the coincidence that LA was still available and the Rams owner was one of the few people on this planet that had the juice to get it done.

And that's on the city fathers in St. Louis for agreeing to such a deal.
