The lack of pressure was an issue, but in looking at it again and again, teams get the ball off fast against the Rams. And when they do take a 7 step drop they use 7 man protections...the days of Rams facing 5-man protections and us rushing 4 DEs is over.
On third downs, we're playing 3-man line and playing coverage to try and get the QB to hesitate do then the 3 DL and the 1 or 2 blitzers can get there. When we had Quinn and Long and Hayes and Sims rolling in 2012-2013 it was thing of beauty
last 2 years--well, Long and Quinn dinged, even Sims. Donald a big plus at DT, but in nickel he's lining up over center and slanting, coordinating the rush with the ends and whoever is going to be the 4th and 5th rushers.
