This is their 5th year rebuilding.

My view is that Snead and Fisher have inexcusably failed at fixing the WR position. Does anyone have a legitimate reason that would explain why this has happened that does not indicate that Snead and Fisher are totally inept at acquiring WRs?

Shouldn't it be very easy to find at least one legit WR after 5 years?

Austin isn't a WR and employing him exclusively as a WR doesn't work. BTW I advocated drafting him and I was saying before they drafted him that he's not a pure WR.

Quick was a developmental guy who started to emerge and then his confidence crashed after a severe injury. He does not appear to be emerging from that. He is one of the poster kids for the Rams not drafting on potential and sheer physical ability instead of production (this year, Robinson is the poster kid for doing precisely that).

Bailey got shot in the head.

Givens was a flat bust.

It is too soon to make any judgments of any kind on Cooper, Spruce, or Thomas. Marquez is still young too. Same with McRoberts (practice squad).

Britt is fine (though not as a #1) and in fact last year was 2nd in the league in yards per reception. (My own view is that they would be okay if they had both Bailey and Britt.)

How one feels about all that will of course depend on whether one was pro, neutral, or anti on Fisher in advance of the discussion.

For anti Fisher people it is the single worst collection of WRs ever put on the field since the dawn of time, and it's not even discussable.

For those who aren't that way, it's a case of they tried, it didn't work, and are now in the process of trying again, and it remains to be seen if they have improved at the process yet.
