Perhaps it's odd to say...

I became a Rams fan in 1995. And I've seen in that time a whole lot of bad football. I've dealt with the current playoff dry spell and the nadir of '06-'11.

And you know what? I consider myself, on balance, to have had a very fortunate fan experience. Because 1999 (and to a lesser extent, 2000-2003) made it all worth it. As far as I'm concerned, 1999 paid the bill for the rest of my life as a Rams fan.
