That's an opening line from Plaschke's piece in the Times this morning.
I was at Anaheim when the Rams played their last game here. A loss to the Redskins. Near the end of the game there were only a handful of people still there and most were Redskin fans. As Chris Miller ran out of bounds on the last play I was soooooo disheartened and depressed. After 22 years I feel the same way today.
I'm not smart enough to know precisely what the problem is but my sense is that it is organizational in nature. Simply put you can replace Keenum with Brady and you won't see that much of a difference in the end. Not sure what Hard Knocks provides in terms of an objective view of coaching-but I thought most of the coaches depicted displayed a lack of professionalism and just seemed like jerks. I have no idea but I wonder if in a Belichick's training camps there are so many F Bombs and false bravado on display.
