in the opposing team's defensive war room as they prepare for the Rams.
I bet we'd hear some very uncomfortable truths about how to defend our team.
From what I saw last night, the 9ers plan was: Concentrate on Gurley and Austin, nothing else is going to hurt us! No passes will be thrown deep or completed if they are.
And sorry to say it, Speed, but Keenum does have a popgun arm. He just does.
This may be really unfair. Probably is. But from what I've seen of Rams' receivers, pretty much from the start of the Fisher er(ror)a, the receivers drop even slightly contested passes. They go up for them, but rarely come down with the ball. So league DBs who bother to study them -- and they shouldn't be playing on Sundays if they don't -- know, going in, they don't have to do all that much to prevent a catch. They're not going to be in a dogfight for the ball, and this likely gives them leeway elsewhere on the field, too. Beyond that, they probably also feel good that they're not going to get winded very often, as the Rams so rarely go vertical. Again, unfair perhaps. But they probably see a Fisher Sunday as a day off of sorts.
