While I still don't understand the connection between AT&T and Direct TV-maybe the former owns the latter-here is what Direct TV said to us. We will provide a premium channel upgrade for you AND the NFL package for $7.00 a month. Of course when football season is over you are still paying $7.00 a month for a bunch of channels we-speaking of my wife and I-don't watch. What their banking on is that there are enough people that will get hooked into some of these programs that after the season ends they will continue on w/o cancelling their subscription. At least I think that's what their market strategy is.
