It does look bad...

September 09, 2016 09:12AM
but again... on the last one, (the one I was referring too).... Your head is going to be in front of your shoulders on tackles... there is no other way to do it unless you're a contortionist of extraordinary abilities. The final shot shows him turning his head to the front of Cam, lowering it slightly (not much)... this is how you text book tackle. (the up high thing is another issue and that I think was 'bad')... you put your head in front of the runner/QB. I think it clearly shows he was not trying to lead with his helmet head to head..... I agree that he should not have been that high on the tackle.

On another one I also wonder... 'face to face' is a lot different, to me anyway, and I think by the rules, than dipping your head and leading with the top of your helmet. Simply rubbing facemasks does not constitute 'head hunting', or so it seems to me. How they interpret that rule I'm not sure.

That said.. I will grant this: They were high, (not sure going for the knees is any more ethical), and they were pushing the boundary's of the rules TO, no doubt about it, inflict punishment.

Billy_T453September 09, 2016 06:20AM

Cam needs to stop it with the poses after TDs and big plays.
